A Trip at Monster Jam

Set:
Transitioning to a better headspace. Plans had been set into motion to move jobs. I was ready to have some fun and I love experiencing a well developed niche.
Setting:
The Angel’s Stadium surrounded by the type of people you would expect at a Monster Truck Rally.
This High was:
"Set" is the mental state a person brings to the experience, like thoughts, mood and expectations. "Setting" is the physical and social environment. This can play a huge factor on your high. Be mindful of this.
FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING***
The environment was so unfamiliar but it was the vibrations from the trucks when they would come strutting out of the entrance we happened to be sitting directly on top of is what made this location so unique. At one point I thought my heart was being rattled around my ribcage, my organs reverberating with every rev of their engines.
The HIGH of the high :
I couldn’t give you an exact moment because it was the overall sensations I remember most. The intake of the yellow branding against the red-orange dirt under the stadium lights already had my eyes humming and then a vehicle named Grave Digger pulled out directly to my right. With the intense rumble of the trucks taking away my ability to talk, plus my buzzing eyes, mixed with the energy of the crowd -
it was as if I was understanding every iteration of the word ‘vibration’ through all of my senses.
The Take Away:
Always say yes to a new experience, high.
I’ll try anything twice, tbh.
The
Scariest
Part:
I guess it was more an annoyance that can take a trip and nose dive it. After finally getting an uber back to LA, the driver saw where we were going and decided to drop us off in some random office parks 15 minutes down the highway adding another solid 45 minutes to our trek home. You know we still had to make the best of it in the 711 parking lot waiting for uber #2.
Everybody has a version of this.
